The only time I put in extra effort is for clients. Everything else? I couldn’t care less, especially not about the manager, the toxic team dynamics, or the unrealistic performance expectations. None of us have a future here, and I won’t have regrets when I’m inevitably let go. Clients are the only ones who matter, and even that is becoming more difficult by the day.

Also, what goes unsaid is the H1B racism, anti-American bigotry, and prejudice, pure and simple that is tolerated/promoted at Elevance Health. This should be investigated and prosecuted as such under existing equal opportunity laws. The H1B catastrophe is the result of fraud and illegally discriminatory hiring practices, and the laws against fraud and discrimination need to be enforced even when tech firms or consultants commit those crimes. Nobody is above the law.
