There used to be hundreds of job openings for internal DFS employees to review and apply for. There are now about 50, with maybe 11 remote. Sr leadership has advised DFS employees will not be considered for any open positions - WHY - are they just waiting to determine how they are going to dispose of their unwanted, disposables? What a terrible place, moral ki-ling situation COF has put their adopted "children" in. They speak a big talk of caring soooo much about their employees, families, and their welfare - but do they??? When will the pink notices go out - Jan 1 26???????????????????? - Currently in support customer services - but think many of us are expendable/redundant... so very sad...

Very likely in the course of 3 years when they think they've integrated both companies that 30,000 employees will be PIPd and fired. They're operating g costs have increased so they're gonna cut costs like mad and PIP like Sam Hill.
DFS employees, run for your life! Capital One is famous for hiring and firing and also merging with other companies and then laying off/firing all the workers from the company they merged with a year or so later. Do some research on the HSBC merger a few years back. All their employees were welcomed with open arms and then let go once the dust settled! Capital One is a horrible company and have ruined many lives and careers for their own employees and those they've merged with.
I think you answered your own question if legacy DFS isn’t hiring they wouldn’t be able to backfill roles if agents moved to CO work. A lot of the CO postings are internal and looking for employees that already have the system and policy knowledge to step into a different role.

Capone has been doing stack rankings for 3 decades. Twice a year people are put on PIPs to to be fired. Each year between 10% to 20% of employees are to be fired and the quota has to be met. They are focusing on terminating employees not hiring them. C1 lists a lot of jobs because of all the firings. They think by firing they can simply hire more people but institutional knowledge is gone. Capine can be shutdown at any moment by the regulators. So do not apply.
