Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Phishing exercise

Tge bank just sent out a phishing exercise with a status update on RTO...... of course I took zero thought on it and opened it after being told they are going from 30 miles out to 50. I would bet the majority will open it....we are all on edge of we will have a job from day to day and RTO is being changed by the second. That was so heartless to do

@2pm That is exactly how hackers get in. They phish using topics that people are likely to click on. Then they gain access to the network through malware and steal info such as customer account numbers and personal information (addresses, DOB, social security numbers, etc.) that they can use to commit identity theft and financial fraud. That is exactly why the RTO phish exercise used RTO as the topic, because people would click on it. And if it were a real phish attempt, fraud could have occurred. Are you really as stupid as your post implies?

I'd file an ethics complaint over a phishing exercise which is tied to an internally debated business practice or some other purely internal event comparable to RTO, the leaderships' disengagement and the reciprocal distrust, Happy Gilmore BS, assigned seating, turnstiles and elevator passes, no exemplary performance ratings, no travel budget except for the privileged, etc. these are not topics concerning hackers, jihadists, te------ts or a government of the evil axis empires, these are more internal "gotcha" games that add nothing to the bottom line, guard against nothong, continue to interrupt work in progress and further drive U.S. Bank into the irrelevant and obsolete column.

Um OP..."of course I took zero thought on it and opened the email"?? An email tagged EXTERNAL? You are a hacker's delight. This is exactly what they do and is the whole reason the bank has to continuously do these phishing exercises and training. People who think nothing of opening an external email just because of what the subject line says it's about are a danger to the entire bank network. This is how malware gets in. You need to do better OP. Think before you click! I know this interferes with your victimhood, but do it anyway.

@OP Taking zero thought and then opening the email? Cool. It's not a heartless move, it is exactly the tactic scammers are taking. Do better.

@a8 potentially grade 17 and above going to be subject to 50 miles. Also probably 4 days a week for everyone soon.

When did they increase the distance to 50 miles??? I managed to escape the call to RTO since I live outside a 30 mile radius. At this point, just lay me off because commuting one way would be a 1hr 30 minute drive! I am not going commuting 3 hours daily!
