I’ve been in Purchase HQ for 2 years full time as part of the campus hire program. It’s been he-l the past year, so much red tape and unnecessary governance as well as having to create so many “leadership updates” that impede real progress. I understand the company image and prestige from an outside view is great on a resume, but I have 2 offers right now for full time elsewhere at smaller companies and really think they could progress my career correctly. Am I wrong for contemplating this? Opinions are appreciated

Take the offer and get out. I have been with the company almost 21 years, this is the worst it has been. I just survived the latest layoffs for payroll. I was hoping they would pick me and give me that severance package they told me I would get back in 2020. Don't get me wrong, I am happy I don't have to find a job right now and I can still work from home, but I have less and less to do at work each day since all of payroll is now in Mexico or India.
@OP hopefully a balanced opinion. I started in Corporate, too. Corporate is all about our Senior Leadership Team and it can be underwhelming at beginner levels. My suggestion…move into a Sector role if you stay at PEP. Learn the heart of the business..what drives our passion for our customers and consumers. Most corporate environments are the same…it’s more about politics and leaves the younger generation wondering what the purpose is. Go into the business and find the purpose…it will help you drive impactful change when you get back to corporate as a leader. Best of luck whichever path you take.
It doesn't sound like your current job is fulfilling your career needs. Additionally the job market is tough right now and you have two offers. Go for it. It would be foolish to pass up the opportunity. Good luck.
Run!
@aq go fck yourself! Sounds like you are jealous that OP actually dug themselves out of the hole that is PepsiCo!
Don’t let the door hit your fanny as you run out !!
If you don't take the offer...you deserve what comes next! Learn from the experience you got here to never do it else where.
TAKE IT NOW!!!!! TAKE IT!!!!
@Op if the pay is good where you have offers, is comparable or higher than what you are getting here, take it. You will be stuck in the politics and mundane here
Run.
