I don't necessarily believe that this is sarcasm. The folks who are labeled "SEG potential" are often treated so markedly different from the rest of us that it could be their real viewpoint . Imagine that you had a senior leader (VP or higher) assigned to you to regularly chat with you to help you and advise you. And you're advised and directed to promotions every 18 months. You're given the best assignments. You are given frequent international travel and exposure, and you routinely tour Shell facilities and are given VIP treatment at every stop. People present their ideas to you, want to impress you, and routinely help you to succeed. Plus of course you get really -really well paid!
That's what they do for people with " SEG potential". It'd be hard for a person with those experiences to not have those viewpoints stated by the original poster.
