Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

OVER-EMPLOYMENT IS THE ANSWER

Just my humble opinion. Instead of whining about how terrible Windstream is, simply pick up another job. That's what I do, lol. WS severely underpays me for my position and expertise. So I acquired another job - pretty much same responsibilities - that, quite literally, pays me double. My job at WS is little more than an easy $65k/yr.

I am glad for you. As for myself I do not have any skill set that could land me a better job
( or any other job ). For 35yrs I spent my days counting poles and putting them on an excel sheet. I am called an ( engineer ).

There was a guy in VoIP noc that did that for almost two years, today we salute you Richard, for sticking it to this stupid company.

Since those office and corporate jobs are work from home the best thing they could do is check computer log in and “active” hours, excluding teams cell phone and screensaver time. Then they could see who is doing all the work around here. That would be the best thing they could do next round. That would sure help weed out some useless dead weight. No reason to just work off a cell phone if you have an office job.

You must be one of the dispatchers. There are times I ask for a ticket to be moved an it's hours before anything is done, if it even happens.

Funnily enough this is also the approach management is taking to the personnel upheaval in consumer sales. They’ll just keep casting a wider net and getting worse candidates from recruiters who lie through their teeth.
