The Sunday evening dread has been real for a while. Unfortunately, it is getting to the point where that feeling occurs nearly every evening. Such a pain to log on each day.

Anthem (instead of the ridiculous Elephants) HAD an enviable culture when I joined the company in 2006. Gail broke it. On purpose. She’s been at war with the hardworking, burden carrying, middle managers/directors from the moment she arrived. She eroded benefits, broke good teams with incessant, pointless RIFS and reorgs plus her insane views on the value of remote workers. She broke it all, on purpose. I watched it happen. I left because of it.

Until she is replaced, with someone from outside the current leadership team and with someone who is NOT from United Healthcare, nothing will change.

@OP 100% spot on! For months, Sunday nights were filled with a debilitating sense of dread—until I finally took control. Leaving this organization for one that truly values my skillset was the best decision I’ve ever made. Never let a toxic culture compromise your physical or mental well-being. It’s not worth it. We are all replaceable, but our health is not.
