Layoffs are a way of life at Collins and Raytheon.
As you work your way up you work to get more pay. The company leadership is always looking to keep costs down. When your boss is told to reduce costs does he/she do:
- Argue that the experience their people have is valuable to the company.
- Layoff the higher paid people in order to meet their personal/professional goals.
Well, if you selected "2" you are correct!
Your experience and your education mean nothing to RTX. All that matters is if they feel they can replace you with someone younger and cheaper.
