What is the definition of "ethic" in seagate's handbook?

What a hilarious post. Ethics? At Seagate? This is the same company who sold drives to a company against US laws, has executives hiring their military buddies for cushy jobs, and has the shadiest sales practices. Isn't this "anonymous" line ran by internal teams? If you ever do use it, make sure you do not use anything that points back to you? The company will use it against you to retaliate for complaining.
When Deng Xiaoping took the reins in China, he encouraged the educated to express their ideas freely. "Let a thousand flowers bloom," he said. People took his encouragement to heart, and did and he recommended. After a year, they were arrested for their lack of adhering to communist ideology.
Calling an "ethics line" is like self-reporting to the Stasi.
Better to quiet quit and start planning a real future for yourself.
would not bet your job on it
If that even exists anymore never ever call that unless you’re ready to resign. It’s used by the company to identify you as a potential legal threat and deal with you accordingly. Same goes with calling HR and any open door policy you hear about. It’s to identify and eliminate threats to the company (ie often times you). Nobody is on your side except you. It’s not worth the risk.
I wouldn't be shocked if someone discovers it's been disconnected.
