Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

ELT or ChatGPT?

It’s funny that the ELT thinks that AI can easily replace individual contributors, but not themselves. MW has been warming seats on the ELT for over 15 years though multiple layoffs and out TSR is where it is. I’m pretty sure that ChatGPT, Grok, or even CoPilot could produce similar or better results than what we’ve seen some MW or MN, yet they think the peons are what should be replaced. Sure boys.

This stuff has been going on for decades. The people at the top of the pyramid always think that they are irreplaceable. They make decisions with insufficient detail than blame those down the line for not enacting their grand plan properly. Just look at their LinkedIN profiles. Strategic thinking is always one of the skills. It's all a bad joke.

For sure ChatGPT could do a better job than Mckenzie types.

Even the basic version would be an adequate replacement for MW. No need to pay $20 a month for premium.
