Why this company offshoring everything to the Philippines and India. What a disaster and disgrace to the people in the states that are getting replaced for some pocket change.

Cheap labor. It is a simple as that.
@a6 nope, ELT is too stupid to listen. They will continue to lose membership, providers, pay on penalties if they want to continue with outsourcing
As we joke and make comments about offshore and AI. Real jobs are leaving our country. AI is replacing employees. What has not been mentioned is. Many SLT and ELT jobs are going to foreigners who have an allegiance to their homeland. And are comfortable offshoring our jobs to their places or origin. So, as we joke about AI and Offshore, keep in mind this has been going on for many years and now this company is experiencing what many other companies have gone through.
Because it buys a house in the Hamptons … it really is that simple.

May be if we devalue our currency to match them and work the same hours as they do, we will have a chance to keep our jobs in the US.
@aw ...its business and they need to make their profts. Im in the same boat. Rather than looking at which country folks are taking our jobs, look at why and the greedy decision makers. Its always low cost..no diff from me choosing to buy from walmart due to low price than any other store
If they don’t, how do you expect the execs to pocket 20 million and change?
My Dept feels like it is in crisis mode. I don't know how we recover from these RIFS. We are so backlogged it is frightening.
This company sells its services to Americans yet pays non-Americans to do the work. This is not an American company. I say we give it the boot!

Because leadership thinks they are saving money. What they don’t consider is the amount of rework that needs to be done because offshore doesn’t understand the business. Members hate talking to people they can’t understand, so there is the cost of losing members. I wonder if they track how much longer it takes to fix a problem. Everything will get escalated back to someone stateside.
