They don’t care about the workforce at all. The high turnover rate isn’t an accident, it’s by design. All that matters to them is squeezing the maximum out of each of us for the minimum investment, and then cutting us loose as cheaply as possible. We’re as disposable as office supplies. Would things run better if employees were treated with real respect and support? Almost certainly. But as long as they can keep maximizing profits and executive bonuses with the current model, why would they change a thing?

Yep. That is why I’m doing the bare minimum. Hard work doesn’t pay off. Milk it for everything you can get.
