So rumor has it that UHC will take on the NYC contract. Is that true? Did we lose another contract? If so when will this all end? Why can’t upper management see that this is a sinking ship!

NYC is a split contract. Emblem owns the md portion. Limited network..partnering with UHC expands md network.no impact at this time to us. We run the facility portion of the business

At a minimum MK and RN should be canned along with NY plan prez and sales RD
@eb+1jzr142m8 Emblem is not us. Previously Emblem partnered with us. Now Emblem will partner with UHG instead. Emblem is NY based. When they partnered with us it expanded their network. Now when they partnered with UHG instead they will have a similarly expanded network.
@dw wait. I don’t see where we lost it but partnering with UHC? How does that work? Emblem health is us as far as I understand. Who can explain this in layman’s terms.

Now that there is a joint proposal from these two healthcare plans, the Municipal Labor Committee will move into the next phase of negotiating a contract."

That is a huge contract. If true, a lot of people will be displaced. I would t doubt it is true, there has been a big push on getting their clms processed. Maybe too late?
