Unsuccessful in the PDC whats next? R1 job but R2 employee

I was one of those unlucky people who were deemed by HR’s rules in a different functional discipline than my current job. My job and org was in R1 but because I moved 2 yrs ago, this being my first job in this function, HR wouldn’t update my functional discipline. I was not allowed to apply for my own job or any jobs in R1 and had to pick whatever was left in the PDC. I was represented by a PDR who I had no relationship with and obviously under represented in the PDC. I’m told I would stay in current role until R2 and then apply for whatever job there is. I’m thinking this is it for me. I now want to EOI because quite frankly I don’t want to work hard in the job that I enjoy because I know I’m leaving. I have doubts for R2, no jobs of interest and heard there’s going to be even deeper cuts / less jobs. If I EOI now will they even approve it immediately?

@be appears you never moved on from middle school name calling, what a sad way to go through life.

If they wanted you there would have been a spot reserved for you in the PDC. Sounds like you didn’t let your old boss know you wanted to come back

@OP depends on your function of course, but I’ve heard HR will have very little unapproved EOIs. Get out now before they decide to reduce the length of severance in 2027.
