Rep was not even the one who knew me and what i did on a day to day basis best, only spoke once with me and went silent up till the day he received my outcome. No updates nothing, how are we supposed to stand a fighting chance in selections this way?

get out while you can. there is life outside of Chevron. you may not make quite as much with another company but you won't have to worry with the politics, drama, lack of business sense at the highest levels, or endless layoffs every 5 years.
@OP like Justin Timberlake famously said… “bye bye bye, bye bye”
This has been the strangest weirdest reorg I have ever had the displeasure of being su-ked into
Well honestly the rep chosen for me came to me as a surprise too. Would have been great and made more sense if it was someone who supervised us daily and not plucked out of thin air.
Friends saving friends
If you've been through a few of these already, you know that's how it works. You're not reporting anything new. Your ticket to success is having those relationships established with the people that matter in your function, don't blame the rep for not knowing you - blame yourself. We've had a year or more knowing this was coming. Oh, they don't care about your talent cards either, but if they don't know you that's the only thing you can hang on to.
I would recommend just moving on. Everyone at chevron has moved on, the machine keeps grinding on with or without us. We have value to other companies now
It’s all a sham. Nothing to do with your performance. I’m sorry for everyone going through this wave. And we paid McKinsey how many millions to do this?
Because the conversation with your selection rep doesn’t matter. Nothing we control in this process matters. Your fate was decided before you even wrote your talent card.
Same for me! The whole thing was rigged from the start. The person who got my role was 3 PSG’s above me but got it because of not what you know but who you brown nose!
