If you follow the orders from the board to the letter, everything will be fine. Work for the board. Honor the board. Obey the board.

WARN doesn’t apply to every layoff, even at big companies. It only kicks in if 50+ people are let go at the same location and it has to be at least 33% of the site, or if 500+ people are laid off within 30 days.
If Oracle spread the layoffs across different teams/locations or staggered them over time they might not have hit the legal threshold for WARN
