Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Fireworks or Fired Workers?

Any thoughts or insights on the next two week in July, should we use up our vacation time?

@dx yes this is true. Certain states you will not get accrued vacation. Take the sick and vacation if you suspect layoff. I have almost two decades and am hoping for severance. Enough of the toxic bs to get people to quit. I will not quit. Just give me the golden ticket.

The company changed the policy regarding paying out accrued vacation time if you leave. Only certain states have laws in place that mandate paying out accrued vacation time. Check myHR to see if your state is/is not included.

@at Yes, but if you are in the hole (over extended on vacation) it will come out of your severance.

I didn't take any sick days for around 10 years. But you'd be crazy to take vacation over sick now with his the company has handled layoffs. Take sick days when you want vacation.

Well, if you think you will be laid off don't take vacation. At least I think you will get paid off for accrued unused vacation (correct me if I am wrong).
