Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Not buying it J2 Sorry

Emea all hands

Takes responsibility for the Gartner issue

However clearly blamed Gartner

You are in the ELT failing to engage gartner and the model in which they operate is crazy. blaming Gartner for a slip in market perception or execution is a cop-out.

The Gartner report is a symptom of the rot at top

How much money is this mess up going to cost....

Since he and CEO dropped the ball. Does this mean they will be taking a performance hit?

No RSU vesting and 0.6x bonuses till this situation is remedied. We will lose business because of this and they have hurt the company image.

There has to be consequences.

@q7 yep! Both G2 and CP have started resembling large economy size gulab jamuns. The two Cisco ba--s, soft, sweet and guaranteed to give gas.

Cisco has invested in GNSS technology and related services and released many features.

Gartner is biased and made rest of them as leaders !! What a joke ?

Not sure what are you guys talking about ? That might be your own opinion !

Facts below !!

Juniper MIST has just 4% of WLAN market and Aruba 14-15%.

Cisco along with Meraki had 45-47% of wlan market. Many customers want to talk to just comm no pant to troubleshoot issues.

They pick Cisco for switching, routing and wireless solutions and easy to deal with just one vendor. Cisco has defeated HPE and Juniper in networking long ago. No wonder Juniper is being bought by HPE, another loser in networking area.Aruba cloud is a joke !!

Most of the customers want basic things to work as expected everyday. They are fine with Cisco APs.

Cisco stock is high !! Sales are driven by relationship with companies and cost, customer support and many other factors.

Breeding an environment of toxicity - love bo----g someone until his agenda is accomplished wiping them off like a toilet paper - breeding toxicity in an organization, comparing, gaslighting - this is child’s play for him. A grandiose narcissist.

I have worked with other leaders really hard ones - but they knew what they were talking about. They came from the grassroots - this is shameful

whats scary is that he will be the next ceo and cisco will further slide into the abyss of uselessness. imagine he becomes ceo and everyone starts doing what he does. it will become way more toxic then what we see now

You are being too harsh
He can become CCIE or distinguished engineer by studying 2h a night lol
Ofc he can be 100% after 100 days better when the your basic understanding of switching is plug the ethernet cable here

He should remember this is not a podcast or his personal tour
Come to London bring common sense and value

It was sickening to watch. A narcissist at his finest. A useless conman just like his boss. Who the fu-k would put a person who admitted he knows nothing about EN in charge of EN? Little wonder the company is fu---d with clowns like this running the show.

There is this awful global trend right now where people feel it's necessary to share their personal trauma. Peak narcissism.

Mom dad issue to seek empathy and win over those who swoon over his “vulnerability”

He and his AR/PR team have been reaching out to 3rd tier analysts and influencers to write about “Nadella” like transformation - I know this for a fact

Like and comment about other industry leaders - real ones who have proved themselves over and over again

Than the usual BS over and over again without even understanding the fundamentals of a technology company - rinse and repeat rinse and repeat

Webex, security are examples

What I give him credit for is his brand building capabilities and a phenomenal marketeer! Or conman whatever it is - but he operates like how “Bollywood” celebrities like to - it’s not too difficult to see through his sh-tshow

Whilst the story of his mother is very sad and touching
I do not see what relevance this has other than serving his own 'brand' respectfully no one cares, and as cruel as it sounds this does not put food on my table
Less talking more doing

  • We have a messy security portfolio how are you fixing it to compete with Palo
  • We talk about AI but how embedded is it really, our chat bot is 1y late Juniper ate our market share in this time
  • Arista acquired Velo, with Todd as CEO how are we strengthening our channel
  • Splunk seems to be dying a quiet death
