Our jobs? Anyone?

@z2 lol, so what, we have to sit here and take the hateful language and destruction of our nation both economically and constitutionally from right wingers because we have to "be better". Get a grip, if you punch someone for years you don't expect them to sit there and take it forever, you get the same treatment back. You expect to spew hate and destroy the nation and we sit here twiddling our thumbs acting kind still? Delusional...
@t6 Wow! So much hate. I thought your side was supposed to be better than this
@yw I used to be a hard working employee. But now I’m dead weight and maybe but in 2 hours of work a week but still make bank. I’m on here until the wheels come off too. Fu-k this place!
@vt Good luck with that! Sounds like leadership would have to actually do something other than riff and reorg. Right now they can hide behind all the organizational chaos as they make up their metrics for success. I don’t think they’ll be able to keep this up for much longer but who knows. The cluelessness is so comical. Reading these posts is also funny as he-l.
I'm a dead weight employee and have been making bank for years. Let's hope this ride never ends.
We will have to shift our focus to the commercial business. I wish we treated our commercial customers better. Now we have to fight for their business. May the best payer win. We may have to get rid of the dead weight still hanging around if we want to survive. That means all of the smoke blowers and meeting rats will have to be jettisoned. The dead weight employees will have to find corporate welfare in a different industry. It will become imperative to offshore every job we can. We need to stop talking about AI and use it.
If your job depends upon unqualified members using Medicaid services that they should never have been given in the first place, then you are definitely not in a sustainable career path and that is not the fault of the current administration.
Tomorrow should be an interesting day at work, may the force be with you all, unless you voted for this, then May you be the first to be let go. Good luck, RIP healthcare, your votes have consequences.
Popcorn anyone? I'm here for the comments.
@my Seriously? You should not be working for a Health insurer with that kind of cruel attitude. You'd be better suited to Used Car Sales, or a Muffler shop.
Or maybe those able to work that are going to lose their Medicaid or forced to work to keep it will get jobs with benefits & be our customer under commercial which is more profitable for us anyways. Or they live in tx fl or md and will purchase our new WellPoint offerings for low income. It’ll be fine, calm down
So many stupid CNN/MSNBC driven comments out here. The Medicaid changes are you have to be in the US LEGALLY! You don’t get to break the law and get benefits dummies. And if capable, you must work 20 hrs a week, if you can get a job.. In regards to the GA market, we lost the damn contract because of bad practices! The claim that this helps only rich is cr-p. Try listening something other than CNN.
@my - "for those who are losing Medicaid boo hoo" -you are a special kind of je-k - karma will find you
It means turning on the page of the inept, empty Biden administration and a return to normalcy in our country. For those losing Medicaid, boo-hoo, go find a full time job with benefits like the good people working hard every day at Anthem (I refuse to use the new name!).
@db willful ignorance is alive and well I see.
More layoffs per usual. The stock is also plummeting as this is a dying industry.
@a3 🤣🤣🤣
How can people actually be so ignorant as to buy this drivel? Oh well, believe what you want as it's being signed today!!!!!
So, what id--tic msnbc sound bites are you listening to?
It mostly keeps the tax structure enacted with 2017 Tax Cuts & Job act in place. If you are married filing jointly the standard deduction went to $25,000 and is now $29,200. That was and is still a game changer.
Who in their right mind would buy an electric vehichle?
As for Medicaid, it is going back to pre-covid spending where the Mediicaid match from the Fed Govt was 50% not 90%.
Yep, NY, VA and GA GBD markets are already being asked to downsize in preparation. More Rifs coming!
If the medicaid cuts get passed, i expect a lot of people will get let go in GBD. It will be super sad for the enrollees and the associates. If you voted for these a--hats, you have only yourself to blame.
@a3 I know we are all going to die, it’s so crazy, I’m scared, everyone is going to be poor except for the billionaires!
It means we will lose an additional 4 million Medicaid members.
It means that nothing ever changes. Government and Corporations use us as cattle.
The OBBB takes away from the poor and middle class and gives it to the rich. It takes away $600 from the poor and gives $6000 to the rich in tax cuts. The poor and middle class have to pay more in taxes. And 11 Million people will be off of medicaid. And school kids that are poor won't be getting free meals. And $7500 savings on Electric Vehicle cars will be gone. Basically, this bill helps the rich get richer, the middle class and poor/lower class get poorer.
