Some of our HR groups have a pretty good idea that we will not have jobs, there will be not boxes for us. I’m curious if putting LinkedIn open to work status as public could hurt at point? Ideally, I would like to land a role inside Chevron, so I wouldn’t want to give off the vibe that I don’t care to stay. Thoughts?

I’ve had mine like that since the last one. I’m always willing to listen to and discuss opportunities. This is just a job.
@a1 It’s a valid question. There are MANY types of roles in HR beyond talent acquisition, any even those professionals have different options on their topic. IMO, skip the Open to Work banner — especially before Wave 2 is over — and on the back end switch your LI profile to be show as open to work for recruiters.
Green banners = red flag. Network and make real connections. LinkedIn is just Facebook for professionals and wannabes to brag about their little awards and lame self help pep talks.
lol, “open to work” = I’m about to starve and take my whole famdamily with me if I don’t find a place handing out paychecks!!!
“Open to Work” screams “Loser” to me. Agree with @ae, network that in person.
Network in person and tell them you are open to work face to face. Green # banners aren’t going to do diddly-squat.
I don’t think that banner has ever helped anyone get a job. Seems pointless to me.
@OP seems like if you are HR you would know that… I would be asking you that question
