Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

To those left being overworked and unhappy

The irony of the layoffs is that those left are even more overworked and unhappy. While those that were laid off enjoyed a paid summer vacation.
Being in a stressful job environment makes life very challenging and can drastically impact your health. Please take care of yourself.
I can’t say your job or Nike will get better. I can say you do have a LOT more control over where you work and how you spend your time than you think. You’re NOT stuck at Nike. Look for other positions and stay positive about where else you could work that would treat and compensate you appropriately.

Not having a job for a long stretch of time is a different kind of stress and can be as equally damaging to one’s mental and physical health, especially as the severance, savings and COBRA medical coverage starts to run out.

Feel blessed that you still have a job and actively look for one. Don’t take anything for granted.

Those left are thrilled to still have jobs. If you don’t like it, quit
