Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Is this true regarding the layoffs?

I can confirm that layoffs are coming, but there’s currently no specific focus on targeting WFH employees. Most of the reductions will stem from offshoring roles and addressing the bloated dual-layer leadership structure that still exists across the bank.

Expect official communications about the layoffs between July 8 and July 24.

I was told that those who are making their RTO numbers are in trouble and so is their manager.

Where have you been? That department was laid off months ago.

@ks I've been at the bank for nearly 2 decades. In that time I've worked with program managers and scrum masters who organized and coordinated projects wonderfully. They held the projects together single-handedly. I've also worked with program managers and scrum masters who are complete id--ts with zero value add. The bank must be real careful who they eliminate from these roles. Disorganization will crash projects quicker than they realize.

G.K. coming and swinging that big beautiful axe. Going to be a massacre mid-July.

I would be worried if I was in DEI. That party is over.

Maybe agilists and program managers. Completely worthless in CBB.

Gunjan is swinging the axe around like a cracked out lunatic and chopping off any heads that happen to be in the vicinity. Makes no difference where you work from. If your neck is in the wrong place at the wrong time, prepare for decapitation. And there is no first aid kit in the breakroom or even paper towels to mop up the blood, because all that costs too much money.

Hopefully they go after the completely useless middle management and scrum masters in TOS. Millions saved and absolutely nothing lost.

Dual layer? Even so, we will end up getting rid of the good manager and retain the buddy who just rides coattails

Please tell me JE, MM, or AR might be on the list? That could save our department.

Wondering if those who post questions to All-Hands meeting about RTO, their name is on a list somewhere.
