I was let go last year, and after 12 months all shows that JDs and his leadership’s led reorganisation was exactly as it looked: improvised, misinformed, led by leaders and consultants that had no idea how the company run. In my team they let go folks that knew how to do things, and kept the hands off loyalists, and it seems Nike still pays the price.
I want to hear if anyone has a different opinion, that at least there’s one area where 2024’s changes were for good and improved the company operations.

that sounds like Nike to me. Believe me, one thing that Nike is not about is "Just Do It".
It is more like Just Kiss A-s. It is not what you know, it is about who's a-s you kiss best
Unfortunately EH is also swayed by big consultancies and making bad decisions. Laying odd hundreds that actually care, did a great job and understood Nike.
Contracting firms are self perpetuating problem. You are describing a feature not a failure. The only failure here is the moral failure of whoever signed their check & received money in return.
