Nothing is ever going to improve. I can’t focus on my work anymore with the constant cuts, reorganizations, and the never-ending state of mismanaged chaos. It might be tolerable if this were just a transitional phase leading to something better, but it’s not. After ten years here, I’ve finally started looking for something else. Just realizing that it’s time to move on felt incredibly liberating.

Can't wait to find something better and break free from toxic techops emea.
Managers laugh in your face when asked what should we do to become seniors in our roles and if you don't kiss their a$$ all the time, you get promoted to unemployed.
You really have it made though. Why would you leave? Make your life work for you.
You can get to work about 8:30. Relax. Hit the gym and sauna after. Do a Normatec leg compression session. 10am reply to some emails and slack. Attend a meeting virtually. 11:30 head to lunch. Take a nice stroll on campus afterwards till about 2. Reply to a few more emails. Attend another meeting. 3pm head home to “finish off the day”. When layoffs do hit you you’ll be paid for months with severance.
So leave?
13 years in december, feel exactly the same. We haven’t finished the last reorg and here we go again. The good people leave and the workload becomes more unbearable while all the knowledge is gone. While it was manageable in the past it’s not the case anymore.
+1 . Couldn’t have said it better
