So VR'D end of May and now been paid, although taxation was more than expected. No matter, claim back thru HMRC.
Products worthwhile selling = none
Project work = all legacy, nothing new
Management = All promoted beyond their competence.
Delivery = couldn't deliver a pizza
Tools provided = Laptops only just capable of running a Windows OS. Mine ran at 85% cpu most of the time and got very hot 🔥
Team i worked in = good guys who want to do a good job but held back by management, processes and lack of any clear direction.
Glad I'm out of it, you bet !!!

Would having some time off sick with stress first help do you recon?
@kh OP here. I applied for VR 6 times over an 18 month period, even though my role was still required, apparently and refused 6 times. Being of a certain age, some might say dinosaur, and a few chats with manager about the future he finally agreed to authorise my VR. I suspect timng of the vr request makes a difference as well. Bad results were expected..
9 years ago today I posted this and from what i read this site DXC is the same
Started today at 5:30 AM and of course the principal parties for the meeting didn't show up
Then at the next meeting people didn't show as well.
And the icing on the cake that there will be another 400 people laid off, hopefully I am not one of them!
Can you get VR if your in a role which is still required? How do you go about getting out? Or do you need to be invited to apply by your manager?
Which country you were working in?
Can you please take drummer with you?
Yup its best to get out - the next management refresh is coming with the associated chaos - Boville is out - hopefully his useless bunch of ex IBMers will follow...
