What is the definition of termination date

What is the definition of the "termination of employment date"? Assuming July 17, 2025, is the date listed in the email received, does it mean you are employed until 11:59 PM on July 17, or does it mean you are out by the end of July 16?

Last day on payroll and last day as a chevron employee. Then you’re eligible for severance and everything else. Start your new job if you can find one.

If it helps, my last day of employment was May 1st. I got paid for 1 day, with was the 1st.
That was after my 30 day redeployment period, which began April 1st.

Does it even matter? Do whatever the F you want -- it's not like they can fire you twice.

If the date of termination in the system is July 17, then last day on payroll is July 16.

It is the last day on payroll but does not mean you are still in the office.

I believe it means July 17 is your last day by COB.
