@f2 I liked the first part of your post Arthur. Didn't need the holier than thou essay afterwards about how we should be reacting or managing our finances.
Of course they lie. They’ll tell you right up until the minute you’re called to be let go that you’re a valuable resource who’s appreciated and respected and all that BS. Accept it, collect your check, and be ready to get on with your life at any moment. It’s hard to feel sorry for anybody who’s caught by “surprise” or hasn’t planned financially for the eventuality of being let go. It’s just a basic way of life these days.
