And TIAA wants us to use it regularly as “we” have invested a lot of money in the technology.
Sounds to me that they want to use our usage to train the model and put us all out of jobs.

Given the fact it's used on all external data, I have barely used it.
Don’t worry, TIAA is fighting the good fight against AI. They handicapped it so that no one can do anything nefarious with it, like getting real work done. Prohibitive usage limits, agressive learning and memory restrictions, strict segmentation of the user interface from other apps-it’s all part of TIAA 4D chess strategy. TIAA is basically telling the bad guys: “Nothing to see here. Seriously, it’s not even worth your time. It will take longer to get stuff done using MyGait than not using it at all. We’re just implementing something to say that we have AI. Yes, obviously it’s expensive, but that’s the price you have to pay to show the board you’re cutting expenses. Honestly, you’d be better off using a manual workaround (like using ChatGPT on a personal computer) just like you do for all the software problems we create in the name of security.”
TIAA will get rid of you long before an internal LLM takes your job.
Yes they want to put you out of a job, but this isn’t due to AI it’s due to saving money. Almost every transformation or improvement a company does, not just TIAA, is to decrease the number of employees because it’s one of the most expensive parts of a business. Sometimes this allows a company to move people to a different position due to automation but one of the goals is always cost savings.
I completely disagree with the EC on just about everything they do. However automation and getting rid of a ton of manual work that is costly, expensive, slow and a poor experience for our employees and participants is not one of them. We should have started this level of work 10+ years ago.
I’m sure this will get downvoted but people need a reality check on thinking their job is safe just because TIAA normally transforms at the speed of going backwards.
Everything you do on a corporate issued device or software at the/any company is monitored. Both for what you use it for and how you use it. To make sure not doing nefarious things but also checking productivity.
And…Of course they want you to load your daily excel file in it to learn what you do and automate your process and job away. How about just don’t use it then?!?
I finally got access a while back and don’t foresee using it at all. Just about anything I would consider using it for that is offered, Googling is faster… always has been, always will be.
