DXC has some good staff. A lot came from the client originally and have been invested for a long time. Whilst we'd quite happily shaft DXC at any opportunity. We will always do what we can for our friends in the client. However it gets harder every year to deliver. The competition runs rings around us on price, and process. Yes DXC is stuck working on spreadsheets, and underpowered laptops. The tide has turned, most people are reaching retirement and looking to make an early exit. The new intake don't care, aren't interested and don't understand. And there's no way I'm teaching people who get hired on £15k more. Roll on the redundancies.

@y8 I'm confused how could DXC be liked/doing good work if they're not hitting the basic SLA? The picture everyone here doesn't add up. (I'm non-DXC)

Hopefully DXC will just retract to offshore paying us all to leave first

I genuinely hope so for you. Unfortunately, we're dealing with a company that has only shrunk for 8 years straight, ruined the livelihood of its employees, promotes execs into incompetence, cannot decide on something as simple as a configuration change, suffers from strategy paralysis, gaslights its employees and clients, and has such a toxic culture that we should be considered a case study once the whole thing crumbles down. I got the fu-k out of here before I would lose my mind.

@vk I know this has happened on several contracts that haven’t been renewed. The actual DXC people doing the work are very good and are liked by the client but the account nanagement and senior execs pi-s off their equivalents in the client.
We keep telling our senior guys there must be a better way of managing the client but they all think they’re hotshot, take no pridoners, type of people.
Its getting worrying though as its happenening too often.

Is there any accurate external source that gives you an idea of DXC's service delivery? Gartner seems inaccurate.

DEFRA went because DXC wasn't hitting contractuals away from the standard SLA stuff, like plant more trees etc..

Sales people in this company are on another planet

Hmm sounds like there's something more too this. Who won HMPO? Sounds like Atos won DFRA on price. They're probably tired of losing so much business.

DEFRA employees are not happy that DXC lost the contract to Atos who they had before and were terrible. From what I hear DEFRA staff were very happy with DXC

@tc As long as they don't take the pension pot with it. Hopefully DXC will just retract to offshore paying us all to leave first.

We don't want to start again. We just want our redundancy. We've not held on for 20+ years to just walk out.

Once DXC goes bankrupt in the coming years you'll walk out with nothing regardless.

HMPO are exiting and exiting early.

They have an option to exit in two phases, and they’ve chosen the quick exit.

No company in their right mind renews with DXC. They are all busy saying we don't build anymore. Just buy in, and get the supplier to support it. but how long this big slow decline can continue is anybody's guess.

To be fair HMPO wasn't lost, rather "End of Contract".
I believe it was extended a number of times over its original 10 year term

We don't want to start again. We just want our redundancy. We've not held on for 20+ years to just walk out. We're not totally stupid. What's DXC going to do with us. All we know is the contracts legacy systems. And we're not much use at those sometimes.

DXC HR are incompetent, they cant manage to TUPE transfer any staff out once they lose the contract. The customer fobs HR with excuses and DXC HR just roll over and accept it. They should take a stance to transfer the staff out with TUPE once the contract is transferred.
