Heard from a reliable source in marketing that the merger has been delayed again. It looks ugly. Uniti is going to take a machete to sales management.

Sales management at windstream is the biggest joke of a team I’ve ever witnessed. Truly green managers who care more about su-king up and su-king off than performance. I wasted 9 years of my life there playing the game and it is a joke looking at it from a fortune 200 , 500 really or above.
I don't know about the Cheeto being involved much, but I do specifically remember Schumer being involved with PAETEC - if politics is the game.
It might be approved. But financially uniti has been struggling on reworking its revolving credit lines. The number of senior level notes sold recently is kind of concerning. They did get the percentage yield down to 8 percent versus 10 on the last round. But only came up with enough money to pay about 500 million of 800 million in debt maturing next year. Let alone money for capital structure.

@OP sales management definitely needs a complete overhaul
They've had the same pushy, assume the sale tactics over 10 years ago. Not sure why you guys are pretending it's new material. They used a call flow that was basically the script. When they did QA they were always looking for particular language. Sell tv to the blind. Push sales on services on people calling on behalf of deceased loved ones. There's no shame in the game.
@e8 robotic script to get people tricked into saying yes to extra products and services they get upset about after they see their bill. There are people that cancel orders and services for this reason. There is no integrity with the sales script
What is this sales script thing - is this being used for cold calls from a calling center?
Whenever it happens please dear god I hope they make changes to sales process. Script is awful, and call routing needs completely overhauled
August had always been the target. July was optimistic hope. Nothing has changed.

According to the Stream, the FCC approved the merger yesterday and all we are waiting on is CA utility commissioner to approve it. The merger is still on track for third quarter. Nothing has changed.
