Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Hiring in sales

They are hiring a large amount of sales people in St. John, Canada. Is this a sign of health or a desperate attempt to increase revenue?

Probably moving more accounts over to inside sales since they are losing reps in the U.S.

No, I understand it will all be sales positions. They will never get that many employees at that location. Most people have already worked for XRX. International people, yes. But it will only be short term. They won't stay. You heard horror stories about the region? What you heard is correct. Micromanaged to the extreme and they are afraid to do anything. The only ones to survive are the yes people. Not because they want to be that way but they know they have to be. It's a one person show and everyone else is nothing but a puppet. They know it, but need the job. If SB only knew, he would not be happy

I would think that these jobs are to replace people in the field in Canada. They hire a lot of international people. I’ve heard horror stories about their leaders. Not in touch with their people, very clicky, micromanage etc.

My guess would honestly be, based on what I saw after the ITsavvy merger, is they're trying to push out people who are "overpaid" and replace with whomever will hit KPI's for the lowest commision/compensation.

"This means they are on the verge of firing a lot of current sales people in St John, Canada."

It's exactly this. They're trying to deal with their spiraling debt by squeezing workers. Unless it's the only job offer you get, I would stay the he-l away from Xerox.

Sales will be the last to go. Service will be next in line for the old boot! Once all the pilots are done watch out for the landing.....could be rough. AI will be taking my job. Can't wait!!

It’s a sign of continuing confusion.

And what's with the communication picture? What do some of those "leaders" have to do with it. They'll be ruining sales too if they have any involvement.

It’s not health, you can bet your reputation on that one…

Highly likely using them for a revenue boost, then they are gone.
