Yes, to reverse and grow the company is not going to be easy without removing the rot at the site management.
APAC certain department site management is so entrenched in self gratification to grow oneself. This has come to a point where all ineffective staff is oblivious to them.
Instead such staffs are well reward with promotion so long they are align with their senior director and of course the art of pleasing them.
Again, operational process changes should be fast and efficient but has been bolted down with self imposed bureaucratic requirements by site management.
Yet, till now has not seen anyone driving the change to remove the rot in fact it has become worst.
Also, effective changes should be driven by experienced external body not from the site or we are just moving the cards and not removing it.
This decline will not be easily reversed. For too long too many mediocre individuals and managers were kept on. Bureaucratic bloat settled in. Mountains of paper & process to make the simplest changes. And that disastrous ERP migration for which no one was held to account. No wonder morale is low and employees are unhappy. And then that Francis guy…the Grale disaster is only part of it.

Everyone I know are so glad to leave Illumina and they can’t believe they put up will all the toxic mgmt for so long.
Left recently and very happy with my new job.
The people I've stayed in touch with are all very happy.
