Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

What's taking so long?

The lack of any notification, or even communication by the Job Owners / Selection reps is absolute agony.

However, it doesn't seem that they care. Sadly, I've come to expect this from CVX during this re-org.

The callous disregard for the wellbeing of CVX employees is mind blowing

Clearly OP and several replies have NEVER done a supervisor or manager job IN THEIR LIFE. Probably never have had to make tough phone calls or give people bad news. Must be nice.

Chevron said everyone notified in 4 business days or less. Most people - job or no job -done by today - two days. Most people I know are already done.

Context: Our beloved frenemy who does things so good - XOM - took almost a month to do this three years ago. Context matters.

Anyone STILL haven't heard anything?
I assume all the left standing have been notified already, since their building access will be revoked by EOW.

Both my “neighbors” were notified at ~10 AM.
One is left standing, one has a new sh---y demotion-type of role.

I have heard nothing.
