I have a friend in management who is telling me they have already told their FEP department that anyone who is salary will be required to come in 3 days a week starting 9/1. We know that Managers & above start their 3 days in July, but everyone else salary will be starting in September. Has anyone else heard this?

@dn yes. Huge shortage of childcare in my state. It’s unheard of to not be put on a waitlist as that is how bad it is. Are they gonna make exceptions for that or are they gonna expected me to just leave my kids at home alone?
@dp it was I. The newsfeed and had some faqs. It was pulled - Not referring to policy you get from workday
@dp they pulled the article with no explanation. I assumed due to negative comments. It was up for about 2 days.
@d9
i’m looking at the hybrid policy memo on pulse as we speak. which are you speaking of?
When do they plan on rolling this out to salary staff. 9/1 isn’t that far away and some of us need to start lining up childcare if this indeed is going to happen. Time is ticking. Takes awhile to find quality affordable childcare.
@dg well maybe the leadership should’ve considered that before rolling out RTO. Everything is fine a-s backwards here. Oh we’re gonna riff a ton of people but now all the sudden we want to be choosy and keep people we want. You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
Manager here - we have no control RTO - if you are in the pulse point you are going in - pay attention to where your VP lives - they likely get to stay home since they live outside the pulse point - same with your Director - if RTO is a deal breaker for you - you should start looking for another job ASAP = everyone is going in - if you think this company cares if you leave - think again - you are replaceable - always have been - RTO is a deal breaker for me - I am out of here end of the month - unless they decide to get rid of me first - I have been very focal about this stupid plan.
@d9 They are afraid that they will lose people they can't afford to lose and the automation projects won't pan out.
I sure hope you’re wrong but it would explain one of the reasons they took down the article a couple of weeks ago about RTO. That article clearly stated that RTO was not going to be rolled out to non people leaders. Wish this company could do a better job of communicating. Like if we’re gonna all have to come back to the office then just tell us already so we can start job hunting. I don’t understand why they care as they are riffing anyway.
Your managers hate RTO as much as you. There are no points to be gained. Anything related to being forced into the office is coming from corporate people.
Probably just that manager trying to gain points with the leadership above them by forcing more people into the office.....
