Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

fun times

really fun to go through the last few days of "working". I was supposed to work through June 11 and off payroll July 1....well, my access was revoked on June 6 with no warning. And when requesting it be reinstated so I could complete transferring projects and offboarding, it was - "we are aware of the mistake, let me send an email (that never resulted in anything), to see if it can be reinstated." never reinstated and never finished proper offboarding, nor out of office reply, notification to agencies, etc. Heard others were having similar issues. The employees are being treated no more respectfully than any of the wells or pump jacks in the oilfields.....very disappointing way to end 35 years. And a cluelessness from the organization....

The last thing Chevron worries about is exiting employees!

This is the new Chevron way.. way to go out.. I know other ex colleagues were walked out the door by the supervisor by noon and end of day because the supervisor had meetings to attend in the afternoon!!! Leaders “taking care” of their direct reports expecting respect in return.
