And TW was the Chairman of the US Chamber of Commerce! He promotes American jobs and prosperity there while behind the scenes, offshoring stateside Allstate roles to his own India subsidiary ASPL, and outsourcing to companies around the world. Never thought I'd say this, but if more states required licensing to sell or provide claim service, then American jobs would be preserved. Not just at Allstate, but other P&C companies.

WLS-I Team where the he-l have you been? This scumbag of a Sears knockoff has been treating their employees like dirt for years!, now they could care less who sees it or connects the dots. Between the current SEC investigation, regarding insider trading and driving current employees to mental health crisis’ Allsnake is a special kind of evil.

You should know that Allstate no longer considers themselves as a key part of Chicago’s community after selling off a big portion of their real estate. They’d like to try and move the vast majority of their operations overseas. It’s no longer a great American company. I hope you can get someone to contact you who is more in the know than I am. Allstate treats their employees as an inconvenience. They’re almost mad that they actually have to pay them. Bonus structure for many is almost non existent. They’ve promoted incompetent leader after incompetent leader and unfortunately the bill is coming due on many of these erroneous decisions.

It was hysterical when the CEO said he had to take those tests too lolololol. That may have been the meeting where they played “celebrate” prior to announcing their “Survivor” game. Fun company.

...a couple more details on that video game / personality test:

Test results were not shared with employees. Neither individually or in aggregate (e.g. by role and level)

There was a lot of speculation that the test was designed to weed out older, higher paid employees. That the company that designed the tests is really in business to provide cover for age discrimination.

Lots of it is outsourcing. In 2020 they actually held a Survivor style competition where you were rated based on how fast you could do a video game, followed by a personality test. The lowest scoring employees were eliminated. Doesn’t even sound real, does it? This was done as legal cover. It is legal however extremely unethical. The hope now is to overwork employees so that they walk away.

I personally won't email to maintain my privacy. However, as stated below allstate is forcing many departments to get moved to a vendor in another country and become an employer of the vendor to avoid paying severence. I even stated I'd rather just get laid off so I can get severance and they said that they will make the decision and if they move me to the vendor and I decline then I am resigning without severence. It's definitely totally unethical. There is nothing stopping the vendor from laying us off. In fact when they told us of the layoffs they said a training class in the Phillipines was starting next week to learn our position. At this point I'm hoping I'm laid off. If I'm now and forced to go to the vendor unfortunately I will find a new job and leave allstate. I'm not going to help my replacements and then get laid off by the new company with no severence

On a related note Allstate took the windfall from the 2018 tax breaks and used it for stock buybacks in order to drive the stock price up and enrich the senior staff, board, and shareholders.

Common? Yes.
Ethical? ???

Allstate is outsourcing all their jobs to foreign countries. They are forcing their departments to work under vendors to avoid having to pay a severance for anyone and to avoid any publicity by flying under the radar.
