Took a pay cut for a smaller company and holy cr-p what a difference. People actually say good morning here. Managers ask about your weekend. No more getting yelled at for taking a sick day. Didn't realize how toxic UHG was till I left. Mental health is way more important than an extra $10k a year.

My last management team was great. First time in all my years with United. I've had the worst management teams in the past but it's all behind me now now that 75% of us are gone.
Not all departments are like that. Sorry to hear yours was toxic. I been here over 10 years and have to say a lot depends on the head of the department and your manager/ team leads and your personal attitude. I’m currently with one that I like but unfortunately our positions are going away to off shore.

I see why they laid us off but left us with mental health coverage for a few years after lay off.
