If you think you are ever safe at nike you are a fool. They don’t care about you. You are a number to them. Layoffs are just part of the culture. Has been that way for the last 10 years and will continue. Best advice- move on! The grass is absolutely greener on the other side of that berm.

There was several cases of D being asked to switch to IC and even a case of one SD. There are also requests to move orgs that require relocating to Oregon. Given that, there are bound to be people who aren't willing to take the demotion or relocation and will be self-exiting. I don't think that goes against the letter of MD's email, though the spirit of it is a bit less clear.
@a6 good luck I heard lay off
@ae oh yeah? Lawsuit on what? Love to hear you justify how that would even remotely be litigated. Hurt feelings? Emotional damage? Haha
How about a lawsuit if they cut folks today after the emails drama?
I don't think MD would send out an all clear and then do the opposite....the email said role changes through the remainder of the week, I'd trust that. I know this company doesn't always do what they say, but I don't think they would be thaaat bad....
+1 Org Activation for today, Good Luck Folks.
Unless she lied in her email yesterday, the rest of the meetings this week are supposed to cover role/manager change/no-change.
Yes, can confirm Monday is the all clear.
Last one everyone got time with their SD to cover if and how their role changed or if anything changed around them, regardless of whether anything actually changed. I'd expect convos again.
@a7
If you’re in tech, org activation meetings today should only be about role, team, or manager changes. All exit conversations for tech concluded yesterday.
Yes, got one today. Looks like I’m out. That was a long 11 year run at Nike. Good luck folks!
I got the all clear yesterday but got an org activation tb invite for later today that was addressed to me specifically 🤔
Yeah
