Those who taken pic with MD during 5k run are safe. Resilience engineering going under lead engineer now. Good at last moved out of this toxicity place.
Lot of favoritism in Tech Ops.

The guilty heart will be uneasy.
Make sure somebody is taking technical interviews while picking prod support leads. They all are functional managers with minimum computer knowledge. Clean up should start from base level to see big improvement.
That is the main reason digital has big production support contracts with vendors. Prod support team is not doing anything technical. Repeated daily work which team had to automate years back.. only thing team does not have any idea on automation.
Capable leadership evaluates teams based on the outcomes and impact of their work. Unfortunately, in Tech Ops, this level of leadership is lacking. Many managers lack the technical depth required to lead effectively.
When issues arise, it’s typically the engineering teams that resolve them. Tech Ops often steps in afterward, layering on superficial efforts or "cosmetic" enhancements to appear involved, despite the core problem already being addressed.
Moreover, there’s a recurring pattern of redundant work. If one team builds an automation tool, rather than adopting or improving it collaboratively, another team will duplicate the same codebase, slightly modify it, and release it under a new name—simply to avoid acknowledging the original team's effort. Leadership, unaware of the duplication or unwilling to address the internal dynamics, often praises this as innovation, especially when the copied work comes from a team their favored manager doesn't align with.
This is level of Nike Right now. Good you are out now of this Toxic place.
Very shady situation and not good for Nike or the new people that will report to her when he places her in a new role. Giggles in his presence and throws direct reports under bus. Awful situation.
How many cuts in techops
