so what is the total layoff count - 10% of all of Nike tech employees?

@as

Absolutely real. And absolutely not inline with competitors on a percentage basis. Anywhere from 2-3x what it should be, if compared.

How did we get here? Rotating door of tech leadership for the last 15 years, running without accountability. Either for themselves, or within their organization.

There was a time it was good. And lean, in pockets. Transparency, accountability, outcomes, and strategy are now dirty words.

Political maneuvering has objectively greater focus than any real work. And has been that way for years.

And to be clear, this isn’t some massively inflated number (10-11k) because of high percentage of offshoring.

There are systems in GT that have this org data and counts of people. A little more than half were ETWs. That was surprising when I saw it.

Again with the upper management! Promote too many leaders in VP roles and in no time they are let go. Only for another round of promotions and layoffs. An endless loop!

gt-connect is nearly 10,900 on its own

@ad GT isn’t 2,000. It’s closer to 10,000, or was at some point. When considering global footprint FTE and ETW.

Not sure the count, but it seems to be a lot. At least 7% of an organization I know of. Most of those have been on the management level.

It’s just a delta between yesterday and today. Not going to specify where.
