I could be wrong but my assumption is that if your project didn’t make the cut on AOP, there’s a chance you could be moved to a team that did, and if that option isn’t there, then layoff is the final step.

@ax that's not the one clear thing. Also says some roles will change. Also says most roles will be unchanged. Stop the hyperbole

A week to WFH, oh my what a privilege! Everyone should be thankful for Nike’s generosity!

On a Monday? This might be the big one. On a positive note, you may have a chance to get severance. I have observed toxic management brutally fire employees with up to 20 year of service, not allowing them to capitalize on retirement and other benefits.

@aj this one also applies to ITC, same as the SEC one. Offshore is not safe either

The one clear takeaway from the email is that layoffs are indeed happening.

@at+1jxbfar84 In SEC they blocked user access to SAP for everyone about to be let go on the night before. Invites were sent out a couple of hours before iirc.

Has anyone received calendar invites so far ? How was this done when the reorg happened in SEC ?

Isn’t every week a WFH week for MD?

Distribution lists in GT have been a sh-t show since last year's reorg or longer, I wouldn't read too much into whether you got an email.

If I’m an ETW in GT and didn’t get the email directly, is that good? This is confusing. Previous times we were just told to wfh, no email, I assumed it went to people higher up and just relayed to us.

Did everyone got this email? I am an ETW and got this email. Few of my colleagues contract were not renewed and for us renewed for three months: so are we again in testing waters?

Was it sent to everyone in GT? Or only ETW/FTE? I’m ETW and I got the email.

Wait a sec...this thread is confusing. Is it that everyone who received the email, FTE/ETW alike, is bound to be directly affected by this (i.e., laid-off or their contract cut short)? or is it just a blanket email which went out to all GT folks, individually? I thought it was the latter. There's not much anyone can do in the meantime, in any case.

@ag email went individually to North America and India FTE's in GT at least

Did this go to all affected GT employees/ETW’s individually or to directors and managers? I’ve been through a couple of these in GT (I’m an ETW) and found out about it before from our director via slack. Nothing yet tho…good luck to everyone out there. <3

We just had JDI day! This is sooo fu---d up. Nike should get the first prize on this one. First prize in how to make layoffs wa fu--ing worse that they should be.

Few quick notes.
Everyone gets the email.

Last time this happened there was accidental forecasting via Slack, keep an eye on that.

"Majority of roles will be unchanged" - sounds like they are hunting for cost centers to gut & salvage from. Majority doesn't mean that many though, it could be that 49% of employees are laid off and MD's still telling the truth.

My hope is that they gut the failing AI initiatives out of ED&AI, put the people working in consumer data there close to market analysts, and retain all the roles relevant to product creation and sale.

My fear is that they're just selling every high priced role out to Accenture though. Expect us to land somewhere in the middle of that.

We never know what is going to happen. It shouldn't be JDI day anymore, it should be called JFU "Just Fu-k You Day".

Does everyone get the "Please WFH This Week" email or is this an indicator you are about to be laid off?

Do we know what departments or teams will be impacted? The email said most of it will be team movement but also read weirdly
