Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Anyone else notice sudden price hikes?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been seeing some pretty sudden and steep price increases on household appliances and bedding—items that used to cost around $90 are now going for $110 all at once.

I’m starting to wonder if something bigger is going on behind the scenes. Has anyone else noticed these price jumps or experienced similar changes at their local stores?

Would love to hear what’s happening at your locations or if you have any insights.

Have you not heard of the Tariffs that the orange man has done. All goods and a lot of food will be increasing to off set the cost. Surprise the sending countries don’t pay the tariffs we do, somebody lied to everyone. It cost to Make America Great Again.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Tariffs. Lots of price increases coming August-Jan. Goods cost more for the vendor, that gets passed to belk. Belk has to raise prices to maintain margins. Simple math

Tariffs. Belk supply chain is not diverse, a lot is sourced from China, specially in home depth.

That and they run by id--ts who can plan themselves out of a box and fired most of the competent people - all thats left are "yes-men" who stroke Don and MA-s egos
