Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Any “ICG” portfolio managers out there?

Considering applying for portfolio manager. Is it a good job? Are people happy in their jobs?

Eric is a horrible leader. He needs to be let go to experience what he finds so hilarious.

I am in ICG. The previous poster is correct about the 14 positions open... And for sure about our "leader".

The PM job itself has ups and downs. There is no easy way to give a good answer if it is a good job because ICG hasmany different business lines under it.

As a PM you will be so far removed from the senior leaders It will come down to if you work for one of the better run business lines with a strong senior PM or not (I sure wish I did).

An email went out today showing around 14 open PM positions. These are mostly due to people leaving.
The pay is decent, but Eric who heads up the PM group is just not a good leader or person in general.
He was literally laughing during a meeting while notifying the spreading group that their jobs were eliminated and being offshored. He was forced to send out an apology.

Completely depends on what industry and/or manager. Lots are leaving and there is also lots of shuffling between divisions (not sure if we still use the term division).
