Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Finally admit a 'cyber incident'

Took a month, but Belk finally admits they were hacked.
Of course, provides no details or explanation. Why hide it for a month if our data wasnt compromised? So fishy. Anyone actually believe them? CFO fired, corporate systems down for an entire week, Don refuses to answer any questions regarding it.

Bottom line is they don't care if the associates information is safe. They will only care if they start to get lawsuits or a class action. These people are barely human, no conscience at all.

It's truly astonishing how a company can take multiple weeks to finally admit to a "cyber incident" that clearly crippled their operations, yet somehow manage to send out an email about meeting sales and credit goals right on schedule. The priorities are just chef's kiss. So, while their CFO was apparently taking the fall and corporate systems were down for a week, the crucial message was, "Don't forget to hit those numbers!"

The whole "no details or explanation" act is just insulting. Why hide it for a month if there's nothing to see? It's "so fishy" doesn't even begin to cover it. Anyone actually believe them? Not when Don refuses to answer any questions.

Back to your Bahamas vacation home now Mr. Don! The rest of us are left wondering if our data is safe while Belk figures out how to communicate basic information.
