Try being a first line risk team working with CAS. They lie and become aggressive in trying to remain relevant. They stress every one out and do not act like a true audit team. It is really sad (Js we r looking at u). They build no trust with any team and are constantly adversarial. Someone should keep track on the time spent on duplication of responses. They do not share info and then keep asking the same questions. It is pathetic and no one respects them.

@a4 I don't think they were forced to sign rather the opposite. OP's complaint is about incompetent auditors who don't communicate and who are creating duplicative work. The auditors you are referencing are highly competent. CAS would have fired them if they didn't have leverage.
I got out of risk a year ago and moved to strategy, but I can tell you they are retaliatory and make things personal. It is a horrible culture with them. I would love to give names but won’t do it. They know who we are talking about.
@a4 come now, they only did that with a handful of auditors.
CAS is the worst group in the bank. First line risk hates them and everyone of them is toxic. They talk out both sides of their mouth. Someone should really question their tactics. They lie and are not there to help u. Start asking business lines about their experiences…..things will come to light. It is a hostile environment.
I cannot stand it when they audit or review any tasks in my business line.
A task in my group took maybe 30 seconds to complete. After CAS finished their review, the same task takes around 10 minutes to complete. A one paragraph process is now 30 pages of procedures.
You must not work in RMC, where they terminate auditors who show too much enthusiasm and make them sign NDAs.
