Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Should I go to another department?

I started with Customer Service and it feels like a really negative environment. Not the customers, but the leaders and senior leaders. Is it worth transferring to another department or is it the same through out the company? Any hope the senior leaders might change? I actually don’t mind the job - but the leadership and management here is pretty bad.

@OP Any company saying they are like a family is a myth. Its perpetuated by companies wanting cheap labor and lazy employees who don't want to grow. You will have whiners and good people in all companies. The people who are asking you to leave are the ones who are still here. Make decisions that's best for you, your family and your pockets.

I'd suggest getting out. It's not worth it making a career at this company. Raises are nonexistent, promotions are rare, benefits only keep getting slashed.

I think...if you go into it understanding there's no job security and and that it's purely to build skills, then yes. But look outside for something better. If you explore both options you're bound to find something less sh---y than CMS

@OP Dont waste ur time and talent. @a1+1jx1c8k1r is correct. Look for a better company. Leadership, micro managing and what is left of the job environment will get worse.

us banks hiring practices and onboarding strategy are worst I've ever seen.
to anyone external who is considering us bank, avoid us bank if it is the only correct decision you make.

Sorry, but the toxicity will perpetuate. You should go to a different bank/job.
