This is a really strong thread, let’s keep it going for a few more weeks… oh, almost forgot… Sir, this is a Wendy’s….
Lol of course all the down voted comments are about Aggies. It's them, they're the worst.
doesnt matter. we're all about to be putting the fries in the bag.
Heritage. I cringe in my soul when I come across these cultists.
Look at all the Aggies down voting! Shows you where they spend most their time instead of working!!
No, Indeed not, you wouldn't pay an Aggie to mow your yard since you are the one mowing, but you better be nice to him, and do a good job, maybe he'll give you a tip, lol!
Sir, this is a Wendy’s.
A&M graduates are the absolute worst to work with
Something tells me most of you guys have to work for or report to a person from Texas A&M or UT, they make more money than you in general, and you are jealous of them.
It's completely obvious.
What’s TDS?
Worse has been Texas Am & UT.
Missouri S&T
Marietta College
West Virginia University
By far the most rounded, humble, and hardworking! Several top leaders (who are great leaders and have the technical understanding) have went to these colleges and have been successful in Chevron.
Let’s not forget University of Phoenix!

I’ve been fortunate enough to have been heavily involved in recruiting for some of the top fortune 100 companies.
I can say without a doubt the best schools are:
ITT tech
Devry
Arizona State University
I've done an enormous amount of recruiting for 12 fortune 500 companies spanning 4 decades and these are the best:
UT, A&M, LAtech, CALtec, Cal Poly, MSU, MIT, Columbia, etc. etc.
See I can play "I am the best BS-er on the site" too!!!!!
Now what does this have to do with layoffs?
This post is stupid as fũčk.
It seems to be a common occurrence for folks from the US to inform their audience of where they started at the commencement of every meeting, so I am acutely aware of my colleague’s alma mater.
From the people I have worked with in my field, MIT, Berkeley and Stanford stand out as producing outstanding technical and critical thinkers (excluding the Digital Scholars program, which whilst rigorous, is quite broad).
Graduates from Texas A&M have generally been mediocre — not great, not terrible, but they have an immense amount of pride in their school and a strong belief that it is a top university not only in the US, but worldwide. Though they seem to do well for themselves at Chevron, so maybe it’s my perception that is wrong.
I have done a lot of engineering recruiting . The places where I have had the best luck (good students not over recruited) have been:
- UIUC
- Minnesota
- Missouri S&T
I don’t know where 90% of the people I’ve worked with went to college.
From what i have seen (former recruiter):
Best: MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, UMichigan, UTexas, Rice, USC, UCSD, Calpoly, UCIrvine .
Worst: TAMU, UH, LSU, UFlorida, UWashington, NYU, UCSanta Barbara, and to be honest, most Ivy folks I’ve worked with over the years.
Now they all went to better schools than i did, LOL, but that’s what I’ve personally observed through 4 different fortune 100s spanning 2+ decades .
The best: Harvard!
Aggies are by far the most anoying
