I'm scheduled to go through this "fun" in wave 2. I've been speaking to some leaders, trying to see where I might fit in or be able to compete in the new org since we can't really see much of it. One high level leader told me directly that despite my good performance, there wouldn't be anything for me. I tried to clarify - you mean that you're aware of, right? Nope... I will not have a position in the new org, despite not wave 2 not even starting at this point. While I do appreciate the honest insight, it means the game is officially rigged!

@OP you need to go back to your boss and give him a blow job. Then you will make the cut
The most important person being let go was Kamala Harris.
Many people are saying it's the greatest selection process ever seen. Just the other day a big strong man straight out of central casting with tears in his eyes told me, "Sir, this is an unbelievable selection process. Thank you, sir for this beautiful selection process."
I'm not saying it, but many other people are saying it.
It’s a Big Beautiful selection process. The biggest and most beautiful the world has ever seen. Maybe the entire universe, I don’t know. It could be.
Let me tell you, this selection process is a total scam, folks. It's rigged against the good people, the smart people, the people who know how to make America great. They're letting in the wrong people, the people who are going to mess everything up. It's a disaster, okay? A complete and total disaster. We need to drain the swamp and make the selection process great again. Nobody knows more about making good selections than me. We're going to have the best people, the smartest people, and we're going to win so much, you're going to get tired of winning. Believe me, folks, it's going to be huge.
The Chevron PDC system is already known to be rigged so why would anyone think this current process wouldn’t be?
@ck, 2H hammered more than 1H??
When I was still going through the PDCE acquisition, there was actually one manager that was told he didn't have a place at Chevron before jobs came out. That manager was under a very mistaken impression that he was the same level as the director that told him that for some reason. I don't know if that line of thinking lead to him not having a place or if his personality just didn't jive with the Chevron way. The manager did seem to be a nice enough fella for the most part but you could also tell he was also very clicky and had some misogynistic views while I knew him at PDCE. If you've been told you don't have a place at Chevron anymore, I'm not sure that's reason enough to believe the system is rigged. But it's perhaps more of a tell that your skills don't fit the jobs available or that your personality doesn't jive with values Chevron wants to keep around. I'm sure there are other reasons as well to be told you don't have a place but the 2 reasons were my best guess for the PDCE manager that I knew. If it helps, that guy went on to become a director at another company a few months after being laid-off.
2H is going to get hammered
the odds were never in your favor
@OP, if true, post in the upcoming 1H PDC. You should be eligible.
Where you not involved in the 2020 transformation? The same thing happened during that event.
Some people rank well but are a nightmare to work with. I really hope we cut these sort of people. People that constantly su-k time and energy from others. People that contribute minimally to a project, but somehow weasel their way into maximising exposure when the project goes well or gets management visibility. People that pretty much everyone hates working with, but managers are somehow blind to that.
I suspect OP you are not one of these, but your job will be reserved for one of these, or the ENGINE.
Are you in IT, OP?
As you exit, I encourage every person to disclose how much they make to each Indian that is replacing them. Just plant that seed of resentment deep in their soul. Unionizing and collective bargaining is literally in their constitution I can’t wait for them to get enough power to strike.
Or you work a job that is entirely moving to India
