First wave is actually the key business units, the second wave will be sla-ghtered
The layoffs after first round will be in the thousands, not hundreds. This must just be for AEOIs
CVX currently has ~ 7,000 employees in Houston. In a February news release, CVX announced that it would be adding 600 jobs in India. To get to the 20% target workforce cut, significant additional layoffs would be required.
@ar 1st wave only.
Curious whether the 700 reported was just for the first wave reductions or both waves?
@aj agree. If anyone thinks 700 is the extent of this exercise they’ve had their heads in the sand.
If the posts about AEOI numbers being around 2000 were correct, the 700 being from that group would be reasonable
That would be impressive if we had AEOI from downtown alone. I personally know of 5, and assume that’s pretty easy to extrapolate across the rest of the org. Its going to be the bookends, newbies and retirees.
Not showing in TWC spreadsheet yet but News says effective 5/28 for the 700. Is this 700 just AEOI then maybe? 2 batches of reporting?
