Working at Nike feels like being on a ship where every officer is steering in a different direction. One quarter it's all about customer experience, the next we're slashing staff to cut costs, the next it's all about innovation but not really. The execs keep chasing shiny objects while the core business deteriorates. At this point, I'm convinced their "strategy" is just throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks before earnings calls.

A solid investigation using an outside law firm would uncover a lot of misconduct! and natural attrition! They know but they don’t care!
I am a lurker, not from Nike, but a company that takes in a lot of ex-Nike folks. Sounds like were in the same shipwreck/dumpster fire. Took in a few of your execs that pulled the same spaghetti tossing before they "resigned".
Never seen a more perfect summary.
Yup, you've nailed it....too many competing egos and interests....all incentivized to different ends.
Not having a job would be even more chaotic
Let me guess, you work in GT?
JD here,
You guys are cooked, next pound of flesh will be served up after wellness week.
The “strategy” is leaders add bullet points to their resume then leave before their choices fail catastrophically.
This is exactly why smart businesses promote from within. Nike is a whale-fall. Covered in scavengers taking their pound of flesh
